Today we traveled to Dublin, In Ireland, to visit Guillermo Fernández, student of the training cycle “Multiplatform Application Desrrollo“, You are done by the module FCTs in a business area. William and almost two months in that company so we can expect many things from his experience. Let's see how well he is doing!
¡Hola Guillermo! ¿Dónde estás realizado las prácticas? ¿En qué tipo de empresa?
I am currently in Dublin, a company that develops and manages a web application.
What tasks have already done?
I am performing tasks internationalization, but they will move to develop new features.
Why did you decide to take an Erasmus + placement?
He has always liked to travel, and I saw that this was a wonderful opportunity to do, as, In addition to seeing the world, You could take the experience of how to work outside Spain.
How were the preparations? What did they think your family or friends?
They were extensive, and full of stress. I had to make some decisions about what to take and what to leave behind. My friends were mostly happy because going to do something I liked, and while my family was, too, They were quite worried about me, after all, I was going to a foreign country by myself.
Please tell us about your daily routine at work.
It's curious. Mornings are dedicated to works isolated, while afternoons are closer. We also make a small meeting throughout the afternoon to discuss what we have done every day, and plans for the next day.
It is not easy to find language? A high level you required?
Rather than the language, The problem arises with the accent. It's an accent something closed, so not all the words sound like you've heard it before. But soon you do to him. You need a decently high level to find out everything, especially because they have several expressions that never before have heard.
What advice would you give to your colleagues who are thinking of applying for an Erasmus+ placement next year?
Time controlled use your money wisely, do not be afraid to explore the city, Google Maps is your best friend, and, by last, Make friends. Everyone when he leaves his country is always super happy at first, but with time, It begins to throw everything less. Siempre habrá días felices y otros días que no tanto, why it's okay to talk with friends and coworkers who have lived outside. You will understand better than anyone
Summarize your experience so far in one sentence:
It is still extremely liberating, and it makes you realize the many responsibilities of adulthood.
Thank you very much for attending, Guillermo. ¡Sigue disfrutando!
