Today we traveled to Amsterdam, Netherlands (one of the countries most demanded by our students), to visit Elisa Iturbe, student of the training cycle “Marketing and publicity“, You are done by the module FCTs in a business area. Elisa now two months so that company is about to end his stay. Let's see how well he is doing!
Hello Elisa! Where are you made the practice? What kind of company?
and Amsterdam, a B2B company whose main service is the conversion of data.
What tasks have already done?
I'm doing all kinds of tasks'Customer department Success', import and export data, mandar emails, create 'templates' for each customer specifically…, in general, common tasks for the entire department.
Why did you decide to take an Erasmus + placement?
I felt an incredible opportunity to meet other fields and environments
business, other ways to react to situations, other processes, And it was super successful, I totally recommend the experience, despite the early nerves that can be felt at the beginning, It is normal..
How were you assigned the company?
The Department of Transportation Links was looking for all and for the first nerves enough first I also looked online, we found several interesting, the coordinator contacted with them, and after a few Skype chats with several of the candidates, I chose the company that seemed more convenient.
How were the preparations? What did they think your family or friends?
Lucky had felt that, that how well I was going to spend, typical.
And preparations from floor, for example, I found it when I was here and I looked before coming some rooms in shared flats, but it was easier to be here to go to campus students, one of the area near the work there were rooms and the truth is that live there is great.
Regarding flight ... I take it as soon as you have passed all know to try to get it as cheaply as possible, because they do not get cheaper when the day is at MORE. 🙂
Please tell us about your daily routine at work.
Son 9 working hours with 1 hour lunch break, we get the food there; I work with 10 others and the truth is that almost everyone is from a different country so there is a lot of cultural diversity. Having several
departments learn things that are not directly related to your topic is inevitable, But it is that that's the best! Because you end up understanding better what makes up the process of your company.
It is not easy to find language? A high level you required?
No way, it costs to ear, used to the accent and to express some fluent, but the first few weeks. Suddenly one day you're talking to a friend in English and Spanish say what goes round pot, but there is, practices bearing fruit.
Have you already visited somewhere nearby?
Yes. I went to the Hague and I think making more trips as save a little more, because it is everything super well connected and we must seize.
What advice would you give to your colleagues who are thinking of applying for an Erasmus+ placement next year?
To all, do not be afraid or to speak or travel, or ask, that anything is possible if you want and, really, all out. It is that they are 3 months that give much of themselves and are living twice as if they were, or it is that to me is mesecitos me and gives me a pity that I wish I could be more.
Summarize your experience so far in one sentence:
Thank you very much for attending, Elisa. Quaff the last month!
